About Cecilia Jaramillo
Cecilia is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She earned her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and her PhD in Human Personality from Atlantic International University. She has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT).
Cecilia is eclectic and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Art Therapy, Mindfulness, and Short-term Problem Solving. She believes in a strength-based holistic approach by exploring with and educating clients about how the mind, spirit, and body are interconnected.
Her experience is working with individuals who have passed through diverse life experience, such as traumatic events, anxiety & depression, fear, hopelessness, suicidal ideations, grief, and more. Also, she has worked with female survivors of domestic violence, as well volunteered in a male correctional facility and nonprofit humanitarian organization.
Her great passion is bringing hope and empower people who have been through difficult life experiences, to make the changes they want in their lives.
